Teakettle Mountain misc

Does anyone have info on Teakettle Mountain's FA? Pictures of it before the handle fell off? Info on the formation of the hole In the summit block? Curious

This link discusses a climbing trip to the Sneffels area in 1932/ July 5th discusses what they believe to be the 2nd ascent of Teakettle. The footnotes has a quick tidbit of the first known ascent occurring in August 1929. Probably not quite what you were looking for, but I found this to be an interesting read!

No. The handle is still there, always has been AFAIK. I believe part of the spout fell off from what I've read. No clue where the spout is/was, as I only thought there was a handle.

Here is Teakettle with the spout. According to a friend, the spout fell off in the winter of 98-99.

Wow. I didn’t expect it to look like that but that is impressive. I wonder how it was formed in the first place...
