Congrats to Calvin, an 8 year old 14er finisher

Congrats to Calvin Hamilton (age eight) who finished the 14ers with Mount Elbert last Saturday. We started hiking the 14ers when he was 4, and it was extremely challenging, but also extremely rewarding watching him grow into a great hiker. I was curious if anyone knows of the other young kids who have climbed the 14ers? I have heard of at least 2 six year old girls, a seven year old girl, and another eight year old boy, but there doesn't seem to be much information about them.

I've heard that the youngest are Megan Emmons, at age 7, and Tyle Smith, at age 8. It sounds like your son might be the youngest male finisher. I hadn't heard about any six-year-olds; that would be pretty incredible if true. In any case, congratulations! I've been working the list for over twice the time he's been alive, and I'm still not quite finished. :?

Andrew, congrats! We met you, Calvin, and your youngest son - along with your Dad - on San Luis Peak in August. Calvin's quite a kid - you guys had an aggressive schedule left in you back in August.
