I fear people who think the animals are talking to them are also encapsulated in this cartoon.

Wow. Had he seen other people going there or do you think he just happened to be going the same direction? I made friends with friendly marmot one time kinda, ran ahead of me and then posed for a photo.
After he posed there he ran off past the route, I think he was just going that way and was probably more annoyed with us that we kept going the same direction. It was a great photo op though, I hadn't been able to photograph a marmot standing before.

I've had mountain lions poop on the trail I was using. Maybe they were trying to tell me that if I continued I'd be in deep sh*t???

Bigfoot wrote: Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:15 am I had a mountain goat come over to where we were resting, then turn around and lead us to the next segment of the trail on Maroon Peak. For the next quarter mile it would go a couple hundred feet, stop and look back to make sure we were following, then go a bit more.

WOW!!! I'd take that kind of expert guiding. It doesn't look like you'd want to get off route there.

You wonder if it had seen people who got off route, seemed skeptical about this organism navigating its home area successfully, or if it was just a "lemme give you a hand" type.

I support reintroducing grizzlies and wolves to their historic ranges.

Maybe, I do think one ran ahead of me on the trail though, possibly relating to me. Maybe it was different one that posed but at least a couple of them seemed kinda friendly. I remember one not friendly though seemed to be more screaming across the valley. Kinda like people, some make noise , some not so nice

This, and I'm pretty sure the ravens see us as carcass potential. Want to guess what they're chanting as they watch you make that exposed move?
I love them anyway.
