Ajax Peak to Telluride Peak opinions?

Post by random-dude »

Hi All,

First time, long time. I have used the search function and have been unable to find exactly what i am looking for (which could be my failure at searching!). Anyway, im interested in putting together a day starting in Telluride, going up Ajax and then taking the ridge over to Telluride and coming back around the long way under chicago peak and mendota and eventually coming back to Telluride. The gain/distance on paper is not an issue for me but i have real issues with heights/exposure and looking at the 1.5 miles or so ridge b/n Ajax and Telluride Peaks gives me pause.

Anyone have any pics/trip reports/thoughts on that ridge that they might be kind enough to share?

Thanks!
