STOLEN GEAR - REWARD

Postby cmiller683 » Fri Jun 07, 2013 3:32 pm

On the evening of June 5, 2013 I had my climbing pack stolen from the bed of my pickup truck in Lakewood, CO, near Wadsworth and 285. The gear is as follows:

Kelty Coyote 80L Orange/Grey hiking backpack
Sterling 60m Blue/Grey 10.2 rope
Black Diamond Super Shute Orange Rope Bag
La Sportiva Muira 44 mens, Yellow/Black
Arc-teryx R300 Orange Harness
Approximately 20 Black Diamond Posiwire 12cm Blue/White Quickdraws
2 Black Diamond Posiwire Brown/White 18cm Quickdraws
Black Diamond ATC Device, Blue
2 Black Diamond Dynex Runners, Blue/White, 12in
Prana Brown/Tan/Green Chalk Bag
Liquid Chalk
Clear Creek Canyon Guide Book
Waterproof Med Kit
An assortment of carabiners, locking and non.

Any information regarding this theft is greatly appreciated. A report has been filed with the Lakewood Sheriffs Department, and I am willing to provide a reward for the recovery of my gear. Thanks!

I don't have any information about this, but it might be a good idea to contact pawn shops and second hand sporting goods stores in the area if you haven't already. Whoever did this is probably not using your stuff...but maybe they will...and karma will handle it.

Cody: I too have no info on this (and sorry to hear of this) but hop onto craigslist and e-bay pronto and look for your gear. Unless stolen by a climber, from what I've read/heard these days that seems to be where stolen climbing gear is fenced. Also post this over on mountainproject, more tech climbers hang out there and there also is a pretty active "For Sale" section, it could even show up there.

Best of luck.

Ouch. Having just started building a trad rack, this hurts my head to read about. I would echo the rest of the advice already stated. Best luck recovering your gear man.

That sucks. I hope you get your gear back. And I hope the turd that stole it gets herpes.
