Wish me luck... Kilimanjaro or bust
Well, I fly to Tanzania on Saturday.
After a few days to recover from the flights and adjust to the new time zone, a 4 day climb of Mt Meru awaits.
Which is a warmup for a 8 day trek up Kilimanjaro.
Thankfully, I don't have to carry all my gear on these treks.
It won't be a tiny step by tiny step commentary, but I might occasionally throw some small status updates up on my website if anyone is interested. http://wandering.earth

Success!!
Weather was a bit off and on, but I successfully summited Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro!!
I'll post a full report and photo links when I can go through the thousands of photos I took (just got back to California yesterday).

Nicely done. Which route did you take? I'm planning to go in September and was leaning toward Lemosho.
