What cracks me up is I live at a higher elevation than summit of Mt St Helen. It was a fun, albeit mellow ski. Stunning views!

Attempted it in the early 2000's, no permit was needed, you signed up on a sheet on the wall at a bar near by (not that this was enforced in any way). Times have changed.

Ah.... this reminds me of the best magnetic fridge poetry that we came up with from a geology pack from AGU in college - How can Mount St Helens show Cleavage you Vulcan Dike. I'm sure only geologists will laugh/groan.
