Missing hiker in Hawaii

Post by sjverhaeghe08 »

Hi everyone,

I know that this is a long shot and unlikely to yield anything but I had to try anyway. A friend of a friend is missing after going for a hike in the Molokai mountains in Hawaii on Monday. The news story is here: http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/3912 ... -mountains

If anyone lives there or has any information, or has any way to help, or any idea of how to help from afar, please let me know. The hiker's wife and my friend are absolutely sick with worry.

Wishing for a good outcome here.

I don't know what sort of search and rescue infrastructure is there locally, but I know in the past teams from California have helped out local efforts effectively.

Maybe the tourist helicopters can be deployed in the search since they are already there and probably know the terrain pretty well.

Wishing for the best

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry that I don't have a happy ending to this story: https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/loca ... 09661.html
