The Moon sets shortly after the eclipse reaches full.
And there will be dawn light too.

Re: TONIGHT: Lunar Eclipse
Got my alarm set for 4:30.
Anyone else find this sort of thing amusing?
The moon low on the horizon making it appear extra large and the dawn light creeping in behind your back; should be a good show!

Re: TONIGHT: Lunar Eclipse
I viewed it from Mount Carbon in Lakewood. A few minutes before the full eclipse started, the moon disappeared behind some clouds. It was right above the front range and wouldn't have lasted long anyways. Image is from 4:57am through binoculars.

Re: TONIGHT: Lunar Eclipse
Not a bad pic through binoculars!
Sadly, from my vantage point clouds shrouded whatever was happening. Morning light was also on the horizon. Oh well. I have seen one in the past. Pretty cool if you've never witnessed.

Eclipse canceled here on account of clouds.

Re: TONIGHT: Lunar Eclipse
Next lunar eclipse (partial) will be on 19 Nov 2021. Stoked, not planned, but I'll be in Moab that week running the Dead Horse Ultra!
