Climbing/Mountaineering Books to GIVE AWAY

As if none of us have ever come back with a cool, quasi-epic story instead of being victim to tragic rockfall, a fatal stumble, a heart attack, an embolism, a lightning strike, a bear attack, collapsing cornice, some psycho with an axe, a falling tree, carbon monoxide, even falling asleep at the wheel getting to a mountain. If you can't accept the fact that sometimes "s**t happens", then you live with the illusion that your epic genius and profound wilderness intelligence has put you in total and complete control of yourself, your partners, and the mountain. How mystified you'll be when "s**t happens" to you! - FM

Okay, updated ... Challenge of Rainier is off the list.
By the way, I will be posting more books/guides/magazines (as I have some old Summit Magazines from 1950's, 1960's, 1970's) over the next few months.
Keep an eye out.

Is In the Throne Room of the Mountain Gods still available?
Re: Climbing/Mountaineering Books to GIVE AWAY
Unfortunately, the Throne Room is gone. More will be posted in a couple of weeks.

Re: Climbing/Mountaineering Books to GIVE AWAY
This is great. I have done similar on other boards. I have a particular interest in books dealing with those who failed in their endeavours. Not a morbid interest but as a learning "experience." I have read and given away titles like Death in Big Bend and Over The Edge: Death in the Grand Canyon. I always ask the person receiving it to pass it on when they are done reading it.
