The Captain is a breath of young fresh air into The Forum and we old codgers should chill out. Personally I long for the days when I was young and strong and confident. Who wouldn’t trade their hard acquired wisdom of the ages for the ignorance of youth?

I long for the brand new pair of shoulders I had in my youth. I know this is so off topic, but I want to get surgery to fix a bone spur in my shoulder but my doctor thinks I should instead just learn to live with it. That made me feel so old. Unacceptable.

Bingo. Exactly why I suggested 20 January 2021. But perhaps both should get a 25th amendment. I must say that (even as I type) I think we are stoking the ego with these threads/posts, just like someone else in DC.

I like to foster an aura of mystery.

But for real, sunglasses and a hat can mask age a pretty impressive amount. I've started conversations with people on hikes who I thought were not much older than me, turns out they have three kids in their 10's. I have no idea how old anyone is on here unless their age is listed. Y'all could be 20 or 70 and I'd never know. Especially since the older peeps on here are generally pretty tech-savvy.

There's a mathematical formula for that question. Take your age then substract the other person's age. If the result is greater than zero, then the other person is young.
