I use class 5 dirt/ scree regularly to describe dirt and scree that is steep enough that you have to crawl to go up due to the angle/ looseness.

also - just to jump back to the Crusher Bubble

due to a twist of history and fate - I have never been on the west side of the Indian Peaks. That's despite extensive monkeying around all over the east side.

so while my map specifically cuts that out - i don't see why you really couldn't get up in there in one night.
Keep looking up - Jack Horkheimer

Could this be what I refer to as "poopbagging"?

Class S = stupid. I recently made a couple of Class S moves on easy peaks.

Fourteenering - when you have a printed route description with color pictures and so much info you don't need a compass or to know how to read a map. (My friend admitted to not know how to read a map after his 38th 14er or something...)

Glide-assing - how I describe glissading to someone who's never done it

Sheisse = spicy

You/I need tighten up your/my core = you're/I'm soft

You do you = do what you're comfotable with

Load up the turbo dog = trust your feet and/or tighten up your core

You skull f**** me = you took your kiwi coils off, threw them on the ground, started climbing easier terrain while i got sorted and when i put you on belay you left me with a huge tangle to sort out with one hand while trying to belay you.

You carry the rope = i need to tighten up my core

I'm a has been = I'm getting old and fat

They're kitted out = wannabes who are jerk holes

I haven't seen "Difficult Class 1" yet. I don't remember who came up with it but I saw it somewhere on the forum to describe the Bierstadt/Evans willows and got a kick out of it. I use it to describe any less than pleasant flat terrain.

Sean, maybe we can co-author a book: “The Delicate Art of Walking on Shitty Rocks” ?

“Casualitis “ is a term referring to when the very experienced get into trouble because of being overly casual about serious things.

I'm in. I'm already thinking of the sequel: Sawatch Slogs: A Chossineer's Guide to One of America's Greater Rockpiles.

Another term: Class 4 grass: Turf or grass steep enough that a fall is likely fatal. Commonly found in the North Cascades.
