That's nothing. Over the summer Big Bend National Park completely shut down all 1,200 square miles because a single person tested positive. Ironically this only made matters worse as people who would have stayed in the park extremely socially distanced now had to do something else almost certainly more conducive to transmitting covid-19. That's government logic for you!

Yea, nothing good about that. Not that it's any consolation, Utah ranks among the better half of the states for case stats according to this site below:

I’d be cautious about using raw case counts (not sure if that is what you referenced.) It’s better to look at stats that normalize for population. In which case, Utah is much worse off than CO or the US.

I'm in SLC, UT, and let's just say that the governor here back in summer somewhat tried to defend his handling of the pandemic by saying they followed the federal response and plan. Ummmmmmmm... is there any surprise we are now spiking as we expected to do this fall/winter? I can only speak for Utah here.
