I acknowledge my penmanship is pretty bad but I'm only writing down the pieces to at least have something documented. There was a duet I composed which I failed to write down fully and it's lost forever (too many enharmonics to figure out by ear). The only thing left is a recording from a live performance from a concert in college (below link to dropbox). Also, I do have the full version of Finale but rarely use it and was used mainly for assignments in college. I prefer the paper method for notation anyhow – a dying craft in modern times.

Here are links for the above pieces.

Wow! Ragtime Harp! I LOVE it! =D>

Thanks for adding this, Derek! I should change the thread title to Let's See/Hear your Creative Work!

Your 'Duet' sounds very Impressionistic I think. I can kind of hear some Satie (although much more complex than Satie's usual simple melodies) and maybe Debussy in a new way. How did you hook up with this instrument, and do you play with any orchestras or anything? Can't believe you'd drag that monster into a speakeasy or play harp bars. Ha!

Adding another commemorative piece I recently finished. Another one of my favorite mountains!

Any new or repeat artists working on anything lately?

I haven't posted in a while so I've got a lot of new paintings. Here are some mountain ones.

I really enjoy this thread. It is is great to see the amazing artwork and everyone's creativity. Thought I would share my latest creation representing the Teton Range using beetle kill pine and a retired climbing rope.

With the shelter in place orders etc being the norm these last few months, I've had, and spent, more time inside.

I'd like to get this thread going again and encourage anyone to share their talents with us -- repeats or new artists!

I've recently finished a couple more mountain scenes.

The first is Mt Katahdin commemorating my return there in 2018. A wonderful place!

The second is the magnificent Tetons. Although I love the 'everywhere-you-look' mountains of CO, it's hard to beat the striking grandeur of the Tetons!

I haven't painted in 10 years and I'm nowhere near the skill displayed here, but I also haven't sat still in 10 years either until stay-at-home. These were for Mothers' Day. I wanted to recreate the alpenglow on a snowy Shavano from Salida, but I got frustrated with the acrylic so I just made the sky pink and moved the calendar forward to early summer. The dent may be USPS' creative contribution

When I accepted a full time position in Salida in January, I was still under my Fort Collins lease and couldn't afford additional housing in Salida so I had to get creative out there. I was wrestling with the decision to move to Salida or Buena Vista and that either Shavano or Princeton would become my new "home mountain" instead of Horsetooth and Longs. Sure glad I didn't make the full move out to Salida because I got laid off along with the rest of the world in March. I painted these as a way to reflect on what a strange time Winter 2020 will always remain for me.

I painted this on my wall during the lock up when I didn't have any climbing to do. I definitely got a little obsessed with the Crestones, hopefully I'll get a crack at the traverse before too long.

If you look close on the bottom you'll see me, my dog and 9 ring wraith as seen in LOTR in the dark. It's a bit nerdy but hey my art my rules.

Love seeing everyone else's art on here too - super inspiring!
