Congratulations to djkest, 14er finisher!

Postby Jim Davies » Sat Sep 07, 2013 11:59 am

Since he can't start his own thread, I want to congratulate Dan Kesterson for quietly completing the 14ers earlier this week on Capitol Peak. Way to go, Dan! That was quick, especially compared to my pace...

Wait at least 2 hours before thanking us!

Congratulations Dan on getting them done! \:D/

JDavies link is good and all, but the list should just be included for all to see:

I came up with a scoring system, but am removing it because of the potential for butthurt.

1) You may NOT start your own finisher thread.

2) You must wait at least 2 hours before responding to your own finisher thread.

3) You must not respond on your own finisher thread until at least page 2. Page 3 is even better.

4) You must acknowledge everyone who uses 14er.com that you have ever met, however briefly.

5) You must use your newfound celebrity status for the good of mankind, and not for nefarious purposes.

6) You must ensure that your finisher thread has PICS of you on your final summit. Anything less is unacceptable.

#1 guideline has been followed. Davies post time was "Sat Sep 07, 2013 12:59 pm" and so

(i.e., guideline #2) has now expired. However, this is only page 1, so djkest should continue to lurk and read about his "newfound celebrity status" (see guideline #5). Now will you become a hipster? What good will you bring to mankind?
Are you going to post a "summit selfie" of your finisher? (I'm borrowing that phrase from the Golden One)

Seriously though, congrats on reaching your goal!

What if the congrats thread doesn't reach page 2? Does he never get to post?

Either way, congrats on the finisher on a fun peak! And you got it done with time to spare before winter hibernation.

You should respond no later than page 3. But wait...he has already posted in this thread and is now being quoted!?

Anyway, congratulations.

That quote is from another thread, which Davies linked/referred to.
And this post is just to help get this thing to page 2. ;)
