Nepal to build Hillary Step Training Facility

Postby TakeMeToYourSummit » Tue Apr 01, 2014 8:44 am

An online article I found states: "With the increasing bottleneck at The Hillary Step - Nepal officials feel the need to let climbers train before they reach these upper difficulties."
To paraphrase: It seems they will build (from wood, stone, and synthetics) - a replica of The Hillary Step at Base Camp.

I want to build a replica of "Capital in winter" so I can practice before hiking all the way in.

I want to build a replica of Bross to practice on, but the soccer field at my neighborhood park might work just as well.
