Climbing partner for El Diente/Mt Wilson

Postby LoveThisSite » Tue Sep 17, 2013 2:55 am

Looking for a hiking partner - El Diente/Mt Wilson this weekend (9/20-21) from Kilpacker. Tentatively planning to drive from Boulder on Fri, possibly backpacking a few miles up the trail. Start hiking Sat early morning (4:30 ish). Traverse from El Diente to Mt Wilson and back to Kilpacker.
I'm an average speed hiker. For the traverse, would prefer an experienced partner. Let me know if interested.. am open to carpooling as well.

Are you still on for this hike? I would like to join you, but won't be able to get there until late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Let me know if this will work. You can contact me directly at: stereo311@aol.com or message me at 970-319-0100

Heads up on snow. Hail came in last night and is sticking around. South facing will probably be alright but there will be stuff in the shadows and north facing. Mount Wilson was interesting today from navajoh basin.
Currently underway in climbing every Colorado 14er in one summer!

We were up there Thurs. for just Wilson from Kilpacker. There was about 3" of snow on Wilson's slopes going into the basin. I bet it will still be there since this area doesn't get much sun. You will need spikes if you are climbing down this route.
