FYI, I ran over to the trail head while I was in BV today. I did the first 1.25 miles (up to the Hartenstein Lake/Yale split) in hiking boots and street clothes. Looks like it'll be microspike conditions (vs. snowshoes) at least up to there, and probably quite a bit further up towards tree line. The trail is well packed to that point, and looks to be well packed beyond the split.

9pm at the Woolly Mammoth lot sounds perfect. I will be driving a grey Honda Civic.

Thanks, Andy for the latest condition there. I'll take both microspike and snowshoes with me...

Ah, cool! I was the guy trailing behind the other two. I just submitted a peak conditions report. Please let me know if there's anything you'd like to add or have changed.

Wow, what a fun midnight hike up Yale. It was perfect watching the sunrise as we approached the peak this morning. Thanks guangxiren for organizing this reckless expedition.

I wanted to wear pants, but Andy and Jon said I would be a sissy girl, if I didn't wear my shorts.
