RIP Terry.

I'm not sure if this had been previously posted, but I found this while searching for info on the Bell Cord this morning...

I was just thinking about Terry tonight and wanted to bump this thread in his memory.

One of the "In Loving Memory" cards, with Terry's picture, has been living in my pack going to summits since his service.

I'm sorry to learn of your passing Terry. Thanks for the help after the helicopter crash I was involved with in 2011. I could tell you were a brave, compassionate soul who sought ways to serve others. I wish you could have lived to see the book I published about that theme (bravery in the service of others is heroism) and that chopper's "hard landing"; I think you would have liked it. Albeit briefly, I'm grateful our paths crossed. Rest in peace fellow mountaineer.

Hopi Prayer
-author unknown

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint in the snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the autumn's gentle rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there,
I did not die.
Kevin Wright
"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." -Thoreau
