October Grimm Gathering

Postby Brian C » Wed Oct 02, 2013 6:42 am

We're overdue for another get together at Loveland's own Grimm Brother's Brewery. I'm thinking next Thursday (October 10th) at 6pm. Come on out and talk mountains over a couple tasty German-style beers. Any takers?

They have quite a few new beers out too. Yum yum!

They climb too, so that's pretty cool!

Tried to message you Brian, but it wouldn't let me.

If this gathering welcomes new and inexperienced (ie, just hiked my first 14er this summer, have only done 3 since, and nothing above a class 2...YET ) climbers than I'm in! I live in Ft Collins and have never seen a get together this far north posted so would love to be able to make it to this one! If I wont fit in then that's cool too :) We all gotta start somewhere!

See the link below to a glossary of terms that you will need to know prior to engaging in conversation. There will be a test.

Seriously though...we just like to drink cheap beer and lie to each other about our crazy mountain stories  You are MORE than welcome to join in...in fact Brian is quite possibly the most beginner friendly guy on here. He was the first to take me under his wing and has taught me most of what I know about climbing.

Cheers!

Thanks Sam! I will review the recommended list of terms and use them to embellish my stories from Sherman, Huron, and Gray's ;) (unfortunately that is all I come with at the moment)
I'll work on nailing down childcare now (singlemomdom sucks sometimes!) and see you all there!
Thanks for entertaining a newbie at your gathering! :D

P.s. I love to learn, so anything I can take away from experienced climbers I will!
