Lots of snow as seen from work in Glenwood but melting out. More snow in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. 70% chance

When I climbed Snowmass ( the next mountain over from Capital)over the weekend, the north-facing slopes along the approach had deep snow. The mountain itself was icy from snow melting during the day and freezing at night. I'd recommend gaiters and crampons.

Cool.
Thank you for the beta.
Going to pull the plug on this trip.
When doing CMC trips, I use a wider safety margin for wilderness risk mitigation.
Nothing mitigates like pulling the trip. :(
Was hoping to catch 'Indian Summer'.
Early snows seem to have taken care of that.
