Howdy. Heading to the Truchas peaks area this weekend. My buddy wants to fish. Does anybody have information about the fishing up there, if there are any aside from in Pecos river?

Which way are you hiking in to the Truchas Peaks? There is Pecos Baldy Lake if you are hiking in from Jack's Creek. I haven't fished in there, but I understand there are trout.

I don't know anything about the fishing but there are a lot of closed trails to the south of the Truchas area after the Jaroso fire this spring. If you're coming in from that direction, you might want to check with Santa Fe NF.
