Little Bear 8/5-8/7

Postby gopilot » Mon Jul 29, 2013 4:50 pm

Looking to do Little Bear next T/W (with Thurs as a back-up day) if anyone is interested. I'm doing Capitol with Billy the Kid's group this weekend then heading down to the Sangres immediately afterwards if I have some climbing partners. Only requirement is that I get back up to DIA by Friday am. PM if interested.

Ooops. You are correct. Maybe that's why I haven't gotten any takers yet.

just as a trip note, please don't use the 2 ropes that someone rigged inside the hourglass. I was up there last weekend and inspected the ropes. the sheath is cut all the way around in 2 spots on the longer rope. the inner cords looked frayed as well. if you haven't planned on bringing your own rope, please consider it. there was also a fair amount of water flowing down the couloir.

good luck on your climb.

I hear people going to the left and the right of the ropes but which would be the safer climb? I am heading out August 18th shooting for a 20th summit and just catching my research on it.
