I think so, it didn't look too bad from PT 12311, the ranked 12er just north of Whipple Mtn:

Looks like there might be some cliff bands there. One fairly serious maybe...

We want to go to North Pole hut over this ridge. Should we or shouldn't we?

Hard to say? I don't know what the other side of that ridge would be like to get to the hut, especially if you have full packs?

I think there is supposed to be a trail that goes around the peaks that connects the Last Dollar and North Pole Huts.

I am not really that familiar with the area, my climb of 12311 and Whipple are my only forays into the western Sneffels range, but we were eying the ridge to Hayden/"S10" from there as a possible way to climb those peaks in the future.

Ya there is definitely a trail. We were looking for something to spice it up. But not too much!
