Best way up Jupiter?

Post by Mountain Ninja »

From Chicago Basin, would the west ridge or NW slopes be a more preferable route up Jupiter Mtn? Are both options class 1/2 to the false summit?

Thanks, guys!

The SW slopes are the class 2 preferable route (there is no trail up Jupiter).

I would agree with rijaca, the southwestern route is the best on Jupiter although others exist. Do you have Roach's 13ers book? He has several Class 2-3 routes listed.

Have fun that's a beautiful area,
