Conditions on Humbolt????

Post by Coxie2210 »

Planning on tackeling Humbolt East Ridge this weekend. Has anyone been out there as of late that could offer any conditions?
Thanks!

Yeah I did but I was hoping for someone who lived nearby to let me know if this last storm dumped a ton of snow or not. We are still digging our way out in WY.
Thanks,

Have you checked the local SNOTEL data?

Pardon my ignorance but where do you find that? I have only done a handful of winter/spring climbs.

Coxie, you can find the SNOTEL by going to the Links tab here on 14ers found on the homepage. Click -> Links (scroll down to Colorado Related section), Click -> Colorado SNOTEL Data.
You want the South Colony site data.

I don't know how much snow is on Humboldt but the new snow from yesterday dropped 12+ inches at the Rainbow Trail.
