That is a nice shot, Barry. Did you guys flip the crate sitting inside that cabin? There is a bit of history there...

No, we didn't.... don't want to derail the thread but what is the history?

There are some fantastic images in this thread.

So I poked around the shack in Johnson's image above, spotted a crate and flipped it on a whim. That is a long way from Denver. Not sure when the crate got there. The company was founded in 1883.

I can't match the 1880's, but here's the 1906 Hough Building in lovely downtown Lake City, taken in 1976...

Little Bear's southwest ridge from the San Luis Valley made prior to an attempt to put my 4x5 view camera on top of South Little Bear. The high winds seen in this image prevented me from accomplishing that goal.

I need to hang out with one of you classy photogs one of these days. I think I'm getting closer but there's much that my photography skill set is still lacking. I'd very much like to improve.

Like most things, good photography is difficult. I've found the site below to be great for composition tips, if you want to get into photography a little more.

This one was taken last year, but I like it because it could have been taken 100 years ago and looked exactly the same.

Subject matter slightly off topic for mountaineering, but I think most of us can relate.
I loved this shot last weekend, taken just east of Tunnel #3 at the bottom of St. Mary's Trail.
