Denver Happy Hour (Feb. 7)

Postby SurfNTurf » Tue Jan 22, 2013 3:27 pm

To counter the Ladies Happy Hour last week, I'm proud to announce the first ever DUDEZ ONLY HAPP -- just kidding. Women of 14ers.com, please continue to come in large quantities.

WHAT: February Denver 14ers Happy Hour
WHEN: 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7
WHERE: Copper Kettle Brewing Company, 1338 South Valentia Street #100

We're posting an earlier start time because the place closes at 9, but most of you show up early anyway. We're working on getting them to stay open a little later. Mandy is leaving for Chile the following day so be prepared to hear about it for 3+ hours or bring earplugs.

I'll be there, but not at 5:30.

Jeff, I'm glad your not orchestrating a sausage fest. To me a girls only HH seems fine, but something about a dudes only doesn't?

I don't have to orchestrate anything, that's every hike from Climbing Connection.

It's on my calendar. I'd love to meet you guys. I've had the busiest winter ever(and none of it included mountains) so I feel like if I get talking about it I'll be forced to ditch out on my responsibilities and get some winter peaks under my belt this year

Just talked to the folks at Copper Kettle. They heard that Goldy the Yeti was making an appearance and agreed to stay open until 10p!! They also said they will arrange for a food truck to feed him!! Get your carpools arranged and make the TREK, people!

Is there enough distance between Chile or Brazil or should I get earplugs, too?

I suck this is the 4th straight happy hour I will miss. I hope you all have a blast.

It is a bit of a drive, but it looks like I will be able to make it.

I'm not sure exactly what it will be yet, but we're likely going to have some more giveaways from First Ascent at this shindig, as well.

Just a heads up...Copper Kettle looks like an office building from the outside. A speak easy of sorts. Just knock 3.7 times on the door and when Goldy the Yeti answers, say, "The Crow Flies at Night."

Seriously though, it is tucked away, but nothing an advanced GPS can't find. Or just good ol navi skillz for you old schoolers like me.
