Congrats to The Chalks!

Many of you know jbchalk from this site. I just got a sat phone message from him and it appears he and his wife just moved one step closer to completing their goal of climbing the seven summits together unguided, when they successfully summited Aconcagua two days ago. It was Brandon's 2nd summit of the peak and Kristine's 1st. You can take at look at their site here.

Only 1 left, Vinson, depending on how you count. I suspect they will actually do all 9 for good measure. Congrats again guys! Enjoy those Mendoza steaks and bottles of wine. See you next week.

Congrats to Brandon and Kristine. I cannot wait until they get back and we can hear about it.

It sounded like an epic. They got pushed back by bad weather and basically had to start all over. But Joel Gratz of www.opensnow.com came through again on a big climb (our climbing crew keeps him on speed dial) with a spot on weather window that they were able to take advantage of. They were also not climbing the standard route which made things a little more sporty.

Can't find the answer on their website, where they on the glacier? I couldn't imagine doing the standard route twice, so I definitely applaud with the non-standard decision.

Congrats to the both of them!

Yes, their plan was to climb the Polish, and I assume they stuck to that. They should be back in internet land very soon. They said they were going to hike the 27 miles out in a day. Ouch.

Well done once again, Brandon and Kristine!
Save a place for me up in the high country.
There's still space to breathe.

Well now, I'll have to remember not to brag about my wife and I doing the Tour D' Abyss should I meet Brandon and Kristine. Nice work you guys. Its even more awesome that you got to do it together.
