Missouri a good choice

Post by sgladbach »

The Rockdale TH is open to a 4WD (You can actually go to Winfield.) There is a trench in to Clohesy Lake. Don't take the trench beyond the far end of the lake as it actually heads to Iowa and Emerald. After one spot to get on the ridge, the route to the top of Missouri is pretty darn dry. Take a description and map.

Winfield is accessible now for Huron?
You can touch the void, just don't fall into it.

I fly a starship across the universe divide....and when I reach the other side...I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can. Perhaps I may become a Mountain Man again.

As of Saturday (12/29) the road was snow packed to the Missouri Gulch trailhead. It was packed further back than that, but we didn't go any further to see how far.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Steve's Clear Crk./S.Winfield TH Status update says so....

"Open to 4WD to the Winfield cabins. Can't cross the bridge and go further."
