This Friday or Saturday??

Need a climbing partner? Trying to form a hiking group for an outing?

This Friday or Saturday??

Postby jswiftcervelo » Thu Nov 08, 2012 6:27 pm

Ignore the last one... I've got a truck for Saturday

Anyway anyone out there who isn't afraid of the weather?

So far the Sangres seem the best but everything looks like its going to be snowy - Been there before and its always nice to have more than one person...

Also the weather for the same area looks ok-ish for early tomorrow if someone wants to go right now (as in tomorrow morning)

If nothing else I may end up driving somewhere (to be decided) really early saturday morning - probably Front or Mosquito depending on whether its a little snow or a blizzard :)

I'd definitely be in for Sat morning in the Front or Mosquito. I haven't been out in six weeks. I'm slowly dying on the inside.

PM me if you wanna hash out some details

Pikes looks ok for Saturday. I live in the springs and the less driving the better. :)

I'd be up for an early start from the Craggs trailhead.
I'll check back on the thread or PM me if you're interested.

Pikes (no offense its not your fault there's a road) is my last resort peak...

Are you ok with climbing in a decent snowstorm? - I've got some real mountain ideas :)

But seriously I'll keep it in mind because it may end up being a good option.

I'll kind of have to see how it goes... who wants to go, their tolerance for weather etc... But Pikes is a definite option

I've got some winter climbs under my belt and wouldnt be deterred just cause there is a little snow and wind.

Let me know what your thinking.

And I'm always up for pikes

How about Bald and Boreas or the Buffalo peaks?

Again Pikes is still a consideration...

Alright after being completely indecisive, what do you think of Silverheels?

I like it because of the route directly off of Hoosier Pass which will remain accessible (no little dirt roads). Also, accumulation won't lead to problems... I've been there on Drift #-o
