One of the better/best bands of the last decade:

Damn, my GF just turned me onto this great song... awesome! Cool lyrics (Pink Floyd anyone?), awesome groove! Never heard of these guys but damn I like 'em...

"Take one for the team
You're a cog in the machine
It's like a default

You've missed the starting gun
For everything you've ever done
You took part in the race
But disappeared without a trace

You thought you'd set the bar
I never tried to work it out
We just lit the fire
And now you want to put it out

Forget about the cause
Press rewind then stop and pause
It's like a default"
"Tonight I'll shave the mountain
I'll cut the hearts from pharoahs"
-Tom Waits

I got something to say:
Brian Thomas, I never knew how many people look like you.
Yeah, and I really like your last post. We dine on visions with new eyes. *Cough*

I like this song a lot! Puts me in a good mood.

This song always brings me to tears. I love that the plaque on Pikes Peak pays tribute to it.

Happy Halloween everyone!

...I'm on to you Kiefer!

(Skip to 4:20 to avoid the cinematic intro and get to the music.)

Kiefer: Not sure if you know, but Richard David James rented out a bank vault to record the whole album "Come to Daddy" to give it special metallic acoustics and they say you can only really understand the end of this song if you have "robot ears".

On a lighter note and more inline with the original post's intent...

Listening to this and other songs sure made the walk up the Lake Como Road less painful a couple of weekends ago...
