I'm sure the Forest Service would rather steer this thread in an udder direction, but we must not cow-down to their pressure.

It's just an old cabin, so don't have a cow.

The Forest Service finally took the bull by the horns and did something for once.

We clearly need to prod the FS to reconsider this decision...but to steer the topic in this direction makes me want to yak. You jerkys are too cheesy.

Chute, I for one will be getting on the horn, corraling the district ranger and trying to steer the Forest Service in a range of better directions.

Steeriously. No offence intended.

Back in the late 70's through the 80's the FS had a big thing about tearing down structures. Fortunately that faded. We seem to be seeing a resurgence, with an historic cabin the the San Juans to be torn down, and this in California.

One of the big issues seems to be whether a cabin is located within a wilderness area, and whether the public is participating in its maintenance, either yes or no. The FS reads it several ways; either the public shouldn't be taking care of something the FS "owns", or that not enough people care about it for the FS to bother maintaining it.

14ers members are agrazing. Thanks. This has been pun.
