Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Looks stupid, and fake. I wonder if we can send them a bill for our time? Six of us have replied so far, and the video was 3:13 minutes long. We should be up to 19.3 billable minutes so far!

EDITED TO ADD:

Okay, I just watched the second video... so, now I've wasted 6 minutes of my time, just to confirm that this was actually fake. Guess I need to type up a second invoice for these people.

Liquid Mountaineering

Has anyone seen this video? Pretty funny.

You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know. - Rene Daumal

Hmmm, my definition of "liquid mountaineering" is quite a bit different than theirs.

Yeah, they actually did a "Mythbusters" episode on this and showed that it was completely fake. The way to replicate the result is to put a plexiglass bridge just under the surface of the water...

I came here hoping to see ice climbing videos. I leave solidly disappointed.

I came here to see someone climbing large piles of readily-available cash.

Perhaps we are both due for a refresher on the original meaning of the term "liquid".

I was expecting this to be another beer thread.
