I'm headed to SE Utah for a week with some friends, and they're interested in experiencing Slot Canyons if possible. We're not headed as far west as Buckskin, or as deep into Escalante as Zebra, and I'm curious if any there are any on the East side of Glen Canyon / Lake Powell (other than antelope).
Any ideas?

Slot Canyons?
I am unable to walk away from the mountain without climbing it. An unclimbed mountain tugs at my consciousness with the eternal weight of time itself. Until I've pressed my face into it's alpine winds, hugged it's ancient granite walls, and put it's weathered summit beneath my heal I'm unable to resist it's attraction.Knowing nature gives the mountain more time than she gives us adds urgency to the obsession. As has been said before; the mountain doesn't care.

There are some near Powell/Glen Canyon Damn. Really wish I could remember the name of the canyon, you also need to be careful as some of those are on Navajo Land and you may need to get a permit.
I have been to the top of the mountain, and it is good

Plus Kelsey books are great. I have several of these. Great way to plan your trip, as well as find a "plan-B" on the fly if for some reason the canyon you had in mind doesn't pan out.

Lots (100+ of them), but Powell/Glen Canyon is ~100 miles long. Which part you headed to, i.e. Hite, Halls Crossing or Page? Because there are so many, it would make it easier to answer the queston.I'm curious if any there are any on the East side of Glen Canyon / Lake Powell (other than antelope)
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

In that case, the White Canyon stuff isn't very far out of the way (Natural Bridges is part of White Canyon).
Here are some canyons to try (google or bing these, plus see the guidebook mentioned above; all have info except for Birch-which I can send if you want it):
Birch
Cheesebox
Fry
Cowboy
Long
Gravel
Short
There are some good ones south of Good Hope Bay and around Halls Crossing, but many are definately R and X rated and are advanced. The ones above are beginner/Intermediate and fun.
On the Bullfrog side, there are several more intermediate ones.
On the west side of Powell/Hite there is all the North Wash and Maidenwater stuff, but maybe that's getting too far out of your way. The stuff listed above is closer and is close to Natural Bridges.
If you head to Page, much of the stuff has been closed off by the reservation. You can still do Waterholes (possibly not lower though, this seems to change almost monthly) or West Canyon (but this one take several days). Blue Pools too. That's about all that is available to the public. There are more, but you have to pay big money for a guide.

Slot Canyons of the Southwest is a great resource.
Of course, it's hard to look cool on a mountain bike in these places, so I don't stoop to visiting such locales.

We did the Black Hole of White Canyon, just east of Hite Marina. Really fun, mandatory wetsuits though.
