Mt Elbert Conditions

Post by j_vanrooyen »

My brothers and I are planning to hike Elbert this Saturday (our first attempt). Does anybody know if there is any snow on the standard route?

Drove through Leadville yesterday (Monday) and the entire area above treeline had been covered with snow. I could not say how much there was and obviously the weather between now and Saturday will have something to say about conditions as well. I'm sure there will be more updates available as Saturday approaches.
