Lindsey conditions

Post by tjerasdave »

Anyone have a good beta for conditions on Mt Lindsey? I heard there was some ice on the route and wanted to see if that was still the case. Thanks!

Looks like she's got a dusting of pink and white snow on her. Watch out for those pointy seracs. They could go at any minute.

It snowed again Sunday night, so not sure how much of an impact that had on the peak? We went up the NW Ridge "direct" route on Sunday though and found that the lingering snow from the week prior made things interesting in a few spots. A couple of the ledges that bypass below the knife edge before the crux wall were icy, then there were a few small patches of snow in the crux wall itself, but nothing that really caused any problems. The standard route had snow on the trail and in the gully. Here is a pic zoomed in from the Huerfano Valley - keep in mind that it was taken Sunday afternoon before that night's new snow.
