Re: Rob Jansen Photo Memorial Thread
I don't believe I've ever climbed two (separate) peaks in the same week but figured this would be a great time to start. I didn't know Chris or Rob but share the same passion as them and probably frequent 14ers.com just as often. RIP fellas.

“There are two kinds of climbers: those who climb because their heart sings when they’re in the mountains, and all the rest.” - Alex Lowe
"There have been joys too great to describe in words, and there have been griefs upon which I cannot dare to dwell; and with those in mind I say, 'Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.'" - Edward Whymper

Re: Rob Jansen Photo Memorial Thread
Sunday Morning of Labor Day weekend, following a great day of hiking that gave us Wilson Peak's summit (see above with EmmaM), we journeyed forth for El Diente:
An amazing journey across the El Diente/Mt. Wilson traverse, and finally Mount Wilson:
Rob, your energy, enthusiasm, and skills were felt. Love you brother.Bill W.
Time for the next great losing streak to begin.

We didn't know them personally, but they were definitely in our thoughts today up Mt. Lindsey's NW Ridge.

I wish I could have climbed with both of these guys. They were some of the best. May they rest in peace
