Centennial Finishers
Last Saturday, Richard Larsen summitted, 13,824, Jagged Peak to complete his pursuit of Colorado's 100 highest peaks. Richard's jublilation was tempered with his declaration, "don't wait till you're 65 to scamper up this one". Congratulations to Rich, who hails from the great state of Vermont and is moving like he is 45 instead of 65!
Two days and three summits later Mike Schumacher scrambled to the summit of Pigeon Peak to complete his pursuit of Colorado's 100 highest peaks. Mike's celebratory air was not cooled after an unsuccessful search for the summit register; which he came to find out was reported missing in June with a quick search of Pigeon trip reports on 14ers.com from his smart phone, ah technology! Mike toasted the summit and the awesome depths of the Animas River valley with some well aged Scotch before descending the long, steep slopes back to camp. Congratulations Mike!

Awesome work guys!
Re: Centennial Finishers
Congrats!
Getting those Cents climbed is every bit as difficult as the original list of 14ers...if not more so!
Way to go guys!

Nice to see another old guy out there pickin' up and layin' down. Congrats to anyone who completes the 100---that's big. I don't think I'm going to make it myself.

How come I'm moving like I'm 65 instead of 45? Congratulations! I figured I would easily tack on the centennials after the 14ers, but it is turning out to be a considerable undertaking. Hike on!lavicats wrote:moving like he is 45 instead of 65
