Even though I've only just started winter climbs, I can't believe how badly I've been jonesing to get back out there!

I'm dreaming of which boards I will choose to mount these things on, and what fancy new boot I'll be stepping into them with.

Corbin and I high on Sneffels SW Ridge last January. Amazing climb followed by Ice Climbing at the Ouray fest. Incredible weekend with good friends.

You can touch the void, just don't fall into it.

Sweet pictures, Carl! I've wondered...did you slay some pine right after those pillows? Hopefully that picture was the end of the run.

I did the QC evaluation of the HD Warren Miller film "Like There's No Tomorrow" at work the other week. Carl your pics remind me of a segment in the film of some amazing pillow/tree action. Starz should be airing it soon in the next month or so if you haven't seen it! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Edit: I can't seem to get a youtube video to embed... here's a link to the trailer

Fixed it for ya.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Thanks. Its a fun little pillow line that does get piney. That shot is an image capture from my GoPro, just haven't gotten a chance to put the clips together. For some real pillow skiing, check out this clip from Tanner Hall's Believe a couple years ago. The line at 3:27 is nuts.
