Re: The 14er.com dogs
Keep them coming. Its been a while since I smiled so much reading a thread on 14ers lately. Thanks to everyone who posted especially the first timers.
First photo is sophie about to start heading up Kelso Ridge for the 4th time
Second photo is of Sophie on the summit of South Maroon
Third photo is probably the funniest picture I have ever taken of her on the traverse from Harvard to Columbia.

This is our rescue dog, "Jack." (His name when we got him.)
Boy he loves to run, hike, and climb mountains! We had about 14 or so 14ers together before he blew out his ACL. The surgery was a success but I don't chance taking him on the high peaks anymore. And when I leave out the door with my pack, he whines and whines.

My hiking buddies:
Quita on top of her first 14er, San Luis Peak. Post-trip crash on the sofa. Daisy has trouble getting out of the sleeping bag for those alpine starts.

Chloe and Cole begin their 3 day naps after 14ers right away.
Re: The 14er.com dogs
Is that a dog-specific bag or just a light people bag?HikerGuy wrote:Daisy has trouble getting out of the sleeping bag for those alpine starts.

If anyone can look at these pictures and not get a smile on their face there is something seriously wrong with them.
Lots of good dog mom and dads out there.
