Hey guys,
So I'll be probably be passing over Independence Pass tomorrow and Sunday. I was just wondering, are there any short (maybe less than 5 miles) 13er hikes off or around the pass?

Most definitely. Going north, you can easily hike to two 13ers. The first one is UN 13,500 and the second one is Twining Peak. To get to the next 13er on that ridge, UN 13,545, there is class 3 climbing involved.
