Yes, Lenny's rental car is in long term parking. Thanks for the thought

Here's an article in the Aspen Times. Looks like there's more information in this thread than they have right now. http://www.aspentimes.com/article/20120 ... ofile=1058

Hoping for a good outcome to this one. Yikes. The previous article link summed up:

- he missed his scheduled work shift on Saturday
- no one has seen or from him as of Monday afternoon
- his last contact was a Google Plus posting on Thursday AM of coordinates consistent with S. Maroon Peak
- they found his camp site at Crater Lake
- his rental car was located in the long-term rental lot
- he had told a friend that he was going hiking/climbing solo in the Aspen area.

Ugh, I have a sick feeling already. Good I hope he's fine.

This past spring I ended up skiing with some Aspen Mountain Rescue guys and gals off of Independence Pass, awesome people and I know they are working hard on this. Positive Vibes to everyone up there, hoping for a good outcome.

Apparently the search has been put on hold for other hikers. Is there anyone in CO that knows of an outside search team that could help?

The Colorado Search and Rescue Board will put out a request for additional resources from surrounding agencies.

You might also consider purchasing a CORSAR Card in Lenny's name (if anyone has his personal info to include his home address and DOB). It's just $3.00 for a 1-year card and will allow Mountain Rescue Aspen and any additional SAR agencies responding to recoup some of the costs associated with the search operation (SAR members are all volunteers) from the state's general search and rescue fund.
