From what I've seen, you start out in shorts and a T-shirt, and end up wearing full winter gear on summit day.

We had one guy wear shorts all the way to Barafu Camp. Most people wore long, light pants and either short sleeves or one/two long sleeve thin layers. It just depends on how how cold you get and how you're able to adjust on the trail.
