Yep, sorry, northeast. I'll correct it.
np. Been fishing up at Clinton Res so I've been pretty close to the fire area. BTW, when are you going to come up and help me with my fly fishing? I'll buy lunch!
I'm reloaded and ready to escape again. Likely in the area Sat am. Wanna do a hike also depending on weather. Sure, flyfish sounds awesome. Hit me up on electronic leash.

Is this kicking up again this morning? There's a good bit of haze in Summit County today. I hope it's not from a new fire.
So pleas'd at first the towering Alps we try,
Mount o'er the vales, and seem to tread the sky,
Th' increasing prospects tire our wand'ring eyes,
Hills peep o'er hills, and Alps on Alps arise!

Looks like Summit County is getting a good bit of smoke from the Pine Ridge Fire near GJ.

SC Alert message I got last night... 9:05pm

Smoke in Summit County is from an estimated 1700 acre fire outside of DeBeque
Canyon along Interstate-70 at exit 54 in Mesa County. The fire is actively
growing and more information can be found at www.inciweb.org it is named the
Pine Ridge Fire

Sent by Office Emergency Management to Summit County (all), Summit PIO Group
(all) (e-mail accounts, Wireless) through Summit County Alert

Some of this smoke might be from the Eby Creek fire in Eagle county. I think they got it under contol so I didnt start a nother thread.

Just a final update for this fire... If I get anything else from the Lake County Office of Emergency Management I'll pass it along.

Approx 30min ago.
This is the last USFS daily update about the Treasure Fire.

Firefighters extinguished more of the fire’s little remaining heat over the weekend.

With full containment, the Incident Team has decided to have firefighters patrol instead of directly fighting the fire. The fire is now at a point that requires less direct suppression and resources. Therefore, the fire organization has been downsized....

The new Incident Commander is Chet Dieringer. He will report to Leadville District Ranger Jon Morrissey, one of the ways that local considerations and knowledge will continue to be incorporated in the fire’s management.

The MidPlains crew is still assigned to the Treasure Fire and is available as needed to assist in suppressing new local fires.

As needed, future updates will be posted to this website.

Approx 5hrs ago.
While the TREASURE FIRE approaches 100% containment another fire started approximately 5:00pm in southern Lake County. Lake and Chaffee responded to the fire start and quickly contained the fire. The small fire was mopped up by the USFS. Be careful out there!!!
