Grump Miner

Post by skimrg81 »

Anyone know what the deal is with the grumpy miner on the east side of Fletcher near the TH. A friend of mine was coming back down on Sunday and this miner (carrying a firearm) was harrassing him.

Haven't heard anything but do you have additional details? Where exactly was your friend hiking? Location of the encounter? Which TH? Blue Lakes?

Your friend should report the incident to the sheriff.

Yeah he was thinking about reporting it. The incident occurred on the way down from Fletcher on the east side to the McCullough Trail Head. He was passing the mine and had to get around the miner and his truck when the miner started to harass him. Maybe the guy was just having a bad day, but I was curious if anyone else has had a similar encounter.

Exactly how was this miner "harassing" him?

There is some marked private property (with old mine ruins) along the road below the waterfall (below timberline). Was your friend on the road?
