Re: Twin Sisters
I was there about 2 weeks ago and I did the whole thing in tennis shoes because I forgot my boots. No showshoes necessary. Some snow but the trail is packed down and not an issue. It's probably even more dry now.

Re: Twin Sisters
We were up there on April 13th and there was minimal snow. Yeah +1 on the previous comment - the trail is nicely packed down and this could easily be done in pretty much any type of shoe. Probably bone dry now!CODave wrote:Any one been up Twin Sisters lately? I'm looking to see how much snow is up there.

Are you referring to Twin Sisters North in the Sangres or Twin Sisters peaks east of Longs?
For the latter, the trailhead is easily accessible year-round from Hwy 7.

Re: Twin Sisters
There's more than one Twin Sisters? I did assume this thread was about this one:
I was wondering if the winter gate is still closed. For the latter, the trailhead is easily accessible year-round from Hwy 7.

Re: Twin Sisters
NPS site says access road is open, as are most of the lower dirt roads besides Wild Basin
