14ers.com Home Page Changes

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Tue Feb 14, 2006 5:34 pm

On the 14ers.com Home Page, I've added a table of recent forum topics on the right. For users that frequently come in through the home page, this will provide quick access to active forum topics.

I made a change to the "Recent Forum Topics" table on the right of the 14ers.com home page - you can now click on DISPLAY 40 or DISPLAY 20 to change the number of recent topics that are shown on the right. This value will then be stored in a cookie for subsequent visits.

Look for the "Recent Topics (Display 40)" link on the top right of to make the change.

I like it! It helps me catch up on some things I may have missed.

PS. Your thread is titled 14er.com, not 14ers.com, just wanted to point it out.

Bill,

Just wondering how hard it would be to add a "for beginners section"? It might cut down on the number of repeat questions from new posters.

Just throwing out a thought. Have a Happy Holiday.

I just added a weather "quick link" to the 14ers.com home page - look for this area on the home page:

FYI - the yellow selection boxes use Java scripts in case your browser is Java-challenged or you have Java disabled.
