Looks like a X-Mas tree when you have a lot of stars. I may change the format a bit over the next few hours.

Nother better to do while I watch the Broncos lose. Oh wait, if they win they play the Patriots? Go Broncos!!!

And I thought today would have been a ski day for you? Nice addition to the site regardless.

What about moving the legend up to the top, to the right of the user's profile info? When I first noticed the stars, I didn't notice the legend without scrolling down. Just a thought.

Edit: Another idea is maybe a snowflake for winter, a solo hiker for solo, 3k for 3000', and the ski/board already gets the tag of ski doesn't it?

I've tried the little icons and some were difficult to distiguish because I have to make them so small. I'm going to try a slight formatting change that might make it more organized. If that works well, I might try the icons again.

Thanks!

Honestly, I'm not sure now. It's a little 'clustered' but it's quickly distinguishable from the color coded stars. An icon for the solo one would be cool if it were a hiker, similar to that on TOPO!.

Nice work regardless Bill.

Bill, don't let us drive you nuts - but - I'd say the colored stars were less confusing and more visually discernable.

I'm torn between stars and icons, but I'm going to leave the icons for now.

But I did replace the solo hiker icon.

It will be interesting to see how you do the 13ers, since the space is limited compared to the 14ers checklist.

I'm with ya there, not sure which I like better as well. But thanks again for doing it and putting in the time!
I like the solo hiker icon better too.
Didn't you have a 'ski' banner thing over the peak name before? Maybe bring that back to open up the icon side of the peak name?

I'm going to make a better ski icon for the 14ers list and see how that looks. I'll probably remove the "3k" too since that's not very useful there. At least we now have winter on there, which helps a lot.

Not sure if I'll be able to do this with the congested 13er list, but I'll think about a few options.
