Bellco Photo Contest

Postby DrGO » Mon Nov 28, 2011 11:29 am

Bellco is holding a contest to feature a uniquely Colorado photo on their new credit card. Let's see if we can get together and choose one of our spectacular 14ers to represent this great state. I submitted a few that you can link to here. From there, you can view all entries to see choices from other photographers as well.

Thanks!

Nice photos. $1000 is pretty cheap to get the rights for some of those pics to put on a creditcard.

From the official rules:
To participate in the Contest and the possibility to have a submission used for Bellco credit card
artwork, this shall be sufficient consideration for the Consent, License and Release, each
participant does:

(3) grant the Sponsor unlimited right and perpetual license to use, edit, modify, duplicate and/or
create derivative works from his/her Submission throughout the world, including but not limited to
the right to display, broadcast, reproduce, create derivative work from and otherwise use the
Submission on television, in print, via the Internet and other interactive media, and/or other
existing media or hereafter developed media and without limitation and without payment of any
compensation to the participant, his/her heirs and successors, on its own or as part of a
marketing, advertising or promotional purposes, and/or any other purposes whatsoever.

IANAL, but you just lost the rights to sell those photos even if you do not win anything. That's messed up...
